Emanuel Ungaro branch heels I missed out on a few years back due to not realizing a) the importance of buying beautiful shoes when they’re on sale and b) that what comes around once does not come around twice. These were one of the first pairs of stilettos that epitomized a perfect balance of art, beauty, and (possibly?) comfort to me. The only other pairs that have come close are: 1) Kirkwood for Rodarte waxed heel (the heel lights up like your favorite light up sneakers from 3rd grade) and 2) Dsquared 160mm nappa spine heel boots. Both outlandish, but understated enough to be worn on a regular occasion.

Random side note: my life, like history, is divided into two sections - BSCMTMR and ASCMTMR. Before/After Shoes Cost More Than My Rent. Priorities, right?
